Kept Classic Homes Acquires Active-Adult Lots in Kerrville, Texas

It is the first of several projects the home builder expects to close in the coming months.

Kept Classic Homes—a part of Kept Property Group, a Texas-based commercial and residential developer—has acquired a significant portion of The Meridian, a 55-plus active-adult community in Kerrville, Texas, for its first-ever residential project.

“We’ve positioned ourselves as a specialty builder for the active-adult market, so Kerrville was a natural move for us,” says Jesse Durden, president of Kept Classic Homes. “The Hill Country is a retirement mecca, and we will be one of the few builders in the area—if not the only builder—that is focused solely on homes built specifically for those aged 55 and up.”

Kept Classic Homes is debuting three home designs in The Meridian. They range from 1,600 to 2,100 square feet with either front or back covered porches, private outdoor courtyards, and two to three bedrooms. The single-story plans will have elevations featuring a mix of materials that combine for a classic Hill Country aesthetic. Pricing is expected to be from the upper $300,000s to the $500,000s.

Kept Classic Homes is investing in a 2,100-square-foot model home, which will break ground in late October and will serve as the sales center when it opens next year.

A private, gated community, The Meridian offers residents a community clubhouse and walking trails. Plus, front and backyard maintenance is included in homeowner association dues.
